Probably not quantized or oscillator-tuned, but that adds to eeriely dissonant sinister feel, so more in modernist classical / atonal kinda feel, albeit with lower barrier entry than your ordinary Stockhausen, Ligeti, or Gubaidulina. Another good example of (recognizably eurorack) modular synth ambient music – nice movements & textures, lovely modulations. I'd be grateful for any feedback as I find it rather hard to come by. The track was done with just eurorack in one take with some eq applied in the box. Most others were easier to pigeonhole as far as this & that, dark ambient, drone, idm, whatever, this one is I-dunno-what, and I really value that in music. In fact remarkably memorizable melodic part and overall feel, were I to pick something for a music label (of which I have minus-infinities) compilation release, out of all in the thread so far, that would be my first pick as the most idiosyncratic and sonically outstanding as in: belonging less to a particular genre and more to not-really-heard-before department. Delays nicely emphasize the downbeats, ostinatoey never-changing music phrase entirely works for the track as the main leitmotif, in this case no point of fighting repetition on the foreground, there's some changes on what's going on on the distance, and that's enough.
Nice tremoloey bass strings, what are they? All in all, sounds very post-witch house like a haunted estate chamber ghost orchestra covering the Verve's “A Bitter Sweet Symphony”.
